PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To store the connection part of a branch part with one touch without a trouble for fitting a protector to an electric cable before the connection of the branch part in the electric cable and to electrically insulate and protect the connection part. SOLUTION: In the protector for storing the connection part of the branch part in the electric cable for the purpose of electric insulation and protection, a main body 10 and a cover body 20 are connected by a hinge 30 and the main body 10 and the cover body 20 are provided with engagement means (engagement pawls 14 and engagement holes 24, for example) which can be engaged on the opposite side of a hinge 30. They can be kept in a state where the main body 10 is covered by the cover body 20 with the engagement of the engagement means. |
