PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain the gap between a rotor an each stator to be constant. SOLUTION: Gaps 32 and 34 between a rotor disk 20 and stator cores 40 and 42, respectively, are detected by gap sensor s 36 and 38 respectively, and the output current of each inverter is controlled based on the detection value. More specifically, current is reduced for weakening electromagnetic force for a stator coil, where the width of the gap became narrow out of stator coils 44 and 46. Meanwhile, current is increased for incrementing electromagnetic force for the stator coil, where it is detected that the gap has become wide. As a result, the gaps 32 and 34 between the rotor disk 20 and the stator cores 40 and 42, respectively, are constantly controlled. |
