Marine platform lifting procedure

The procedure uses hydraulic jacks (13) which have a travel less than the total lifting height required. A hydraulic jack is employed in each of the groups and used to raise the platform in stages. At the end of each stage tubular spacers (16) are inserted between the legs (5a, 5b) and corresponding vertical members, so that the weight of the bridge is supported by the two vertical members in each group alternately.
