摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the power consumption of an information processor with no complicated operation required and without making the display hardly visible, by reducing gradually the luminance of a display part having a luminance control function down to its lowest level from highest level with time even being in an operation other than a luminance control operation. SOLUTION: A display part 1 consists of an LCD, a PDP or a CRT, etc., and has a luminance control function. The control part of a luminance control part 3 supplies luminance information to the display part 1 in response to the luminance level set at an information processing part 4 and also has a function to supply the luminance information to the part 1 in order to automatically reduce the luminance of the part 1 down to its lowest level from highest level in a prescribed transition time. When the luminance of the part 1 is increased via a setting part of the part 3, this operation is notified to the part 4. Then, the control part of the part 3 also has a function to automatically update the lowest luminance level to a level set in an operation mode in response to the luminance setting information sent from the part 4.</p>
