PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely manage a position, where information is read, together with the read information by managing collected collection information and position information, which is detected when that collection information is collected, together. SOLUTION: A bar code reader 101 is a portable handy type and has a function for reading a bar code 107 and a position detecting function based on a GPS. The bar code reader 101 reads the bar code 107 printed on a voucher 106 stuck to an article 105 at the collection time of the article 105 through the bar code reading function, automatically detects the position information and time information at the time of reading the bar code 107 through the position detecting function and stores them together with the read information of the bar code 107. The bar code reading function irradiates the bar code 107 with laser light and detects reflected light from the bar code 107 so that the bar code 107 can be optically read. Besides, the position detecting function uses a position and time detecting method based on the GPS. |
