<p>Disclosed is a carrier device for carrying electronic components of any size and length from a loading area to an unloading area. The device has a first conveyor belt on which the electronic components are positioned in such a manner that their flat bottoms extend on the upper edge of the belt and their metal leads extend on both sides of said belt. Spring-urged fingers are mounted on a second conveyor belt moving at the same speed and in the same direction as the first belt, so as to press on top of the components and thus hold them in position onto the first conveyor belt. Cams are provided at the loading and unloading areas to release the pressure exerted by the fingers and thus allow positioning or removal of the components. This carrier device is well adapted for use in a tinning machine like those used in the electronic industry.</p> |
