The inner trim comprises prefabricated self-supporting cover plates (1), each of which is constructed to continue down the length of the vehicle, and is provided as a completely premounted assembly with components of the vehicle's equipment. The cover plate may incorporate a lighting strip (4), a cable conduit (5), and a connecting element (6) for coving, or for the perforated cover (8) of an air conditioning duct (9).
