An oil volume corresponding to the actuating speed only is supplied to an actuating drive (6). The capacity of the hydraulic pump (2) is increased dependant upon the working position of an actuating valve (17,18) for the working appliance. Only the oil volume supplied by the pump and corresponding to an increase in capacity, is supplied to the actuating valve.
