PORTABLE LIGHT IRRADIATION APPARATUS

A portable light irradiation apparatus for imparting an optical stimulus to the eyes of a user so as to regulate a biorhythm and to increase an awakening level, comprising a transversely elongated illumination unit for irradiating light to the eyes of a user, a pair of pads fitting to the head side portions of the user, a head band extending to the head top portion of the user and coupled at the lower ends thereof with the pads and a support arm extending from at least one of the pads, holding the illumination unit at the front end thereof and positioning the illumination unit in front of the eye of the user. The support arm is slidably supported at the rear end thereof by the pads so that projecting length of the support arm relative to the pads can be adjusted. According to this construction, an optimum gap can be set between the user's eyes and the illumination unit, and phototherapy using the light illumination apparatus can be effectively applied to the user.
