<p>A plasma display panel in which a partition wall defining a discharge space is made of a flame-sprayed coating that is formed by flame-spraying of a partition wall material. A method of forming such a partition wall comprises a step of forming a photosensitive coated layer over a substrate, a step of forming openings of a predetermined pattern in the photosensitive coated layer, a step of depositing the partition wall material at least in the openings to a predetermined height by means of a flame spraying to form the flame-sprayed coating, a polishing step of abrading portions of the flame-sprayed coating that protrude beyond the surface of the photosensitive coated layer by polishing, and a step of removing the photosensitive coated layer to obtain the partition wall of a predetermined shape.</p> |
