A process enabling the complete cure of resin compositions highly shielded against actinic radiations, e.g., carbon fiber-reinforced plastics (CFRP), merely by irradiation with UV, which process involves the use of a specific photopolymerization initiator system (i.e., a reaction catalyst system) comprising at least two components. On irradiating a resin composition with an actinic radiation represented by UV according to this process, a first energy different from the energy from the actinic radiation spontaneously generates in the resin, and the first energy continuously causes the generation of a second energy of the same kind as that of the first energy, whereby the resin composition can be cured by the first and second energies or by both the energies and an energy from the actinic radiation, independently of whether the resin composition contains shieldings against the actinic radiation or not.
|
