<p>The invention relates to a method and a device for controlling the temperature of an NOx accumulator (7) to purify the exhaust gas stream of a combustion engine (1), which can be used especially for diesel or lean-mix engines. According to said method or the device, a heat flux (W1, W2) is carried off from the exhaust gas stream in front of the NOx accumulator (7) in the exhaust gas pipe (5) depending on the operating state of the combustion engine (1) so that a maximum temperature of the NOx accumulator is not exceeded, more particularly, so that a specified temperature range is maintained. In order to obtain minimum operating temperature of the NOx accumulator, the combustion engine (1) is operated at least at an air-fuel ratio of μ≤1 until said minimum operating temperature is reached.</p> |
