The pallet (10) has a stacking plate (12) with resting elements (151, 152, 153) below it. The stacking plate has several ventilation apertures (14) through it. The resting elements can be detached from the stacking plate. The stacking plate is rectangular, and has regularly spaced sockets for bolts (18) for the connection of the resting elements. There may be a regular pattern of threaded bushes in the stacking plate for fixing the resting elements.
