WATCH CRYSTAL PROVIDED WITH A MARK AND WATCH COMPRISING SAME

The invention concerns a watch crystal provided with a permanent mark and a watch comprising such a crystal. In order to produce said mark, the crystal (10) includes in its thickness (e) a series of impact points (12) arranged to form a pattern (11) without modification of the inner (13) and outer (14) surface condition. Each impact point (12) is obtained by means of a laser beam focused on a point located in the crystal thickness. The beam energy, concentrated in one point, produces at this point a modification of the crystal structure of the material, said modification causing a change in the appearance of the material. Said permanent mark can be produced in any watch crystal, in particular made of mineral or synthetic glass, or sapphire, for decorative, personalization or security purposes.
