The arrangement includes devices which are activated at the end of a time interval after a control or touch of the touch-screen surface (10), whereby the touch-screen function is switched off, and a display is generated, which includes a selection of characteristic data. The date include treatment data, e.g. designation and values of patients- and/or instrument parameters, or a symbolic display of one or several of the instrument components. Independent claims are included for a method for securing a touch-screen function.
