<p>A compact water treatment assembly comprises primary, biological and final treatment stages. The primary stage comprises three chambers separated by barriers. Water is scooped by a bucket chain from the last chamber to carry it to the biological treatment stage. Water is scooped from the latter stage and passed to the final stage comprising a cascading series of chambers linked by overflow pipes. A compact water treatment assembly consists of a primary-treatment stage, a biological treatment stage, and a final treatment stage. The primary stage (2) has three chambers (5,6,7). Water enters in the inlet chamber (5), flowing over a barrier (9) into the second chamber (65), and thence over a barrier (11) into a third chamber (7) adjacent to the second (6). Water is drawn from the third chamber (7) by a rotating (24) scoop (12) and released into the biological treatment stage (3), which incorporates a submerged rotating body (13) effecting the biological treatment. Water is scooped (14) from the biological treatment stage (3) and released into the final treatment stage (4). This consists of a cascading series of chambers (15,16,17) linked by overflow pipes (18,19,27). The treated water is discharged to a final treatment tank (20) located under the biological treatment stage (3), and from which it is discharged.</p> |
