<p>The present invention pertains to the fuel industry and more precisely relates to a hydrogen-containing fuel that also comprises up to 50 vol.% of carbon oxide. This fuel can be used in various types of power-generating systems or engines which operate according to the combustion principles, such as internal combustion engines, gas-turbine apparatus and industrial furnaces. This invention essentially relates to a fuel comprising inhibiting additives which include at least one hydrocarbon selected from the following homologous series: olefinic, aliphatic hydrocarbons with a standard structure or an iso-structure as well as cyclic hydrocarbons including aromatic hydrocarbons having from 1 to 8 carbon atoms in their molecule. These inhibiting additives may also consist in mixtures of two or more of said hydrocarbons. This fuel also includes a hydrogen-air combustible mixture which contains the synthesis product of hydrogen from ammonia. This fuel may also contain as hydrogen-air mixture an additional amount of up to 50 vol.% of carbon monoxide.</p> |
