Map reading device for ship or airplane

The device receives an updated nautical chart in a ship, or a map in an airplane. The bridge crew enters the scale, i.e. meter or feet. A sonar or a radio navigation arrangement compares in a computer, whether data of a drive calculation agree with the map data. If an accident or collision threatens, an alarm is triggered by the computer to notify the bridge crew. The computer controls the auto-pilot to avoid obstacles.
