The folder/filler, incorporating folding (15) and insertion (25) modules, has a main inlet (8) for both envelopes and documents, connected via a switching module (35) to a first document track (10) and an alternating track (20a) for the empty envelopes. The alternating track passes through a repositioning module which aligns the envelopes prior to passing into the insertion module.
