A refrigerating cabinet, comprising a compartment within which at least a mould for forming ice cubes can be arranged, said mould having a plurality of sockets apt to be filled with water and an axis (A) of minimum encumbrance; according to the invention said mould for forming ice cubes (1, 101) is arranged inside said compartment of the refrigerating cabinet so as to have its axis (A) of minimum encumbrance in horizontal.
