WASTE STRAW TREATMENT STRUCTURE IN COMBINE HARVESTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the subject relatively simplified structure designed to enable threshed waste straw to be bound so as to make the binding position constant irrespective of the variance in the waste straw's length. SOLUTION: This structure consists of such a system that waste straw from a threshing equipment 1 is nipped and carried with a carrying chain 4 and a guide rail 5 and fed to a binding device 3; when a binding position is set by operating a changeover switch 17, a control unit 19 automatically operates a motor 12 based on information from a sensor 26 for detecting grain culm length and the terminal end side portion 5b of the guide rail 5 is subjected to contractile regulation relatively to the initial end side portion 5a via wires 8, 9; thereby the binding device is fed with the waste straw under position regulation in the direction of the culm body by the guide rail 5 so as to bind the waste straw at the above set position.
