PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple and compact household PET bottle vol. reducing machine. SOLUTION: A PET bottle 5 is housed in a housing container 1 and hot air is supplied to the housing container 1 in which the PET bottle 5 is housed by a dryer 2 and at least a part of the PET bottle 5 is heated to be lowered in elasticity. Thereafter, the PET bottle 5 is longitudinally compressed between the force point of the compression force for reducing the vol. of the PET bottle 5 and the support plate 6 supporting the PET bottle 5 at one contact point to be collapsed partially.
