PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a composition which gives a molding free from bubbling even when the processing temperature is high and which is excellent in mechanical characteristics, flexibility, electrical characteristics and flame retardancy by incorporating specified aluminum hydroxides each having a specified dehydration initiation temperature into a non-halogenated composition composed mainly of polyolefins. SOLUTION: An aluminum hydroxide having a dehydration initiation temperature of at most 250 deg.C and a mean particle diameter of preferably at most 1 μm, in an amount of 10-100 pts.wt. and an aluminum hydroxide having a dehydration initiation temperature of at least 350 deg.C and a mean particle diameter of preferably at most 1 μm, in an amount of 50-140 pts.wt. are incorporated into 100 pts.wt. non-halogenated composition composed mainly of polyolefins and preferably comprising at least one of PE, PP, an ethylene/ethyl acrylate copolymer, an ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer and an ethylene/propylene copolymer. It is desirable to provide this composition with an oxygen index of at least 26. If necessary, a silicone-base flameproofing aid is blended with this composition. |
