PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of production of a sintered body, capable of producing a sintered body product by means of simplified stages even in the case of complicated shape without the preparation of expensive metal molds and rubber molds. SOLUTION: This method has the following stages: (1) a stage where porous resin vessels 10, 12 are prepared by using granular bodies or pulverulent bodies of thermoplastic resin; (2) a stage where respective insides of the porous resin vessels are filled with powdered sintering material; (3) a stage where the porous resin vessels filled with the powdered sintering material 32 are heated in a nonoxidizing atmosphere to fuse the mutual granular bodies or pulverulent bodies of thermoplastic resin together and form airtight and liquid-tight resin vessels 40, 42; (4) a stage where isostatic pressing treatment is applied to the airtight and liquid-tight resin vessels to increase the density of the powdered sintering material inside; (5) a stage where the resultant compressed powdered sintering material is sintered to produce the sintered body. |
