PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To store that an operation power source is turned off during the operation of recording head cleaning and to prevent pollution by scattering ink into a device from the head when the power source is turned on again. SOLUTION: A discrimination flag for indicating whether a cleaning member is in a recording head transfer route or not is held by a non-volatile memory. When a device is energized, first it is judged whether the flag is set or not (S41). When it is recognized that the cleaning flag is set, or the cleaning member is in the transfer route, in step S42, a sequence of the cleaning member being retracted from the route by driving a pump motor is implemented. |
