PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain plated products which substantially prevent the peeling of plating thin layer metals from material surfaces by forming plural pieces of grooves having opening width, depths and the angles formed with the material surfaces in specific ranges on the surfaces of metallic materials or nonmetallic materials. SOLUTION: Plural pieces of the grooves having the opening width of 5 to 100μm, depth of 0.2b to b (b: the opening width described above,μm) and the angle of >=45 to <90 deg. formed with the surface of a material M are formed on the surface of the material. As a result, the thin layer metal partly advances into the grooves, acting as an anchor part. The material M is fixed to a supporting mechanism 2 for the purpose of groove formation. Plural cutting blades 4, holding means 5, etc., are then lowered under the management of controllers 10 by motor driven cylinders 7, by which the cutting blades 4 are plunged down to the required depth into the surface of the material M. The cutting blades 4, cylinders 7, etc., are moved in the blade-facing direction of the cutting blades 4 by moving mechanisms 8, by which the grooves are formed on the surface of the material M. The holding means 5, etc., are risen by the cylinders 7 and the material M is moved in the prescribed direction by a supporting mechanism 2 at the point of time when the cutting blades 4 are separated from the material. The operation described above is repeated.
