PLASTIC FILM ENVELOPE AND MANUFACTURE THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively utilize a waste material of a polyethylene tube by molding the waste material of the polyethylene tube used as a gas tube into a film as it is and using the film. SOLUTION: A waste material of a polyethylene tube is cleaned, then crushed by an appropriate means and made into pellets by an extruder or a pelletizer at a temperature of 170 to 200 deg.C. The pellets are molded into a film as thick as approximately 30 to 50μm by using the extruder with a T-die or a round die attached. In making them into a film, the waste material of the polyethylene tube made into the pellets is kneaded and melted in the extruder, while additive such as antioxidant and processing aid can be appropriately added when needed. The film is used to manufacture plastic envelopes with a bag-making machine and a sealer.
