PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a synchronizer furnished with a self-energizing means. SOLUTION: This pin type composite synchronizer 10 is furnished with friction rings 22, 36, 24, 38, jaw members 30, 26, 28, three pins 40 separately arranged in the circumferential direction including a blocker soulder part to prevent asynchronous engagement of the jaw members, a pre-energizer assembly 42 to initially engage the friction rings and the blocker shoulder part with each other in accordance with initial engagement movement of a shift flange 32 and self-energizing cams 20e, 20f to generate additional axial direction force as either of cam surfaces moves a link 48 inward in the radial direction and pushes it on either of the cams 20e, 20f. In an example of deformation, the link 48 can be replaced with a spring capsule to limit the maximum additional axial direction force. |
