PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To heighten the laterally stretching speed of a film, and raise a work efficiency of the laterally stretching work by setting length variation absorbing means on a rail constructional element in the linear part of either one of guide rails at the front and rear in the vicinity of a laterally stretching guide part. SOLUTION: Left and right guide rails 2 within a laterally stretching machine 1 include an elongated clip circulation path comprising a linear inlet side guide part 8 arranged at the inlet side of a film traveling path R for receiving a longitudinally stretched film, a laterally stretching guide for stretching a film laterally, a linear outlet side guide part 10 disposed at the outlet side of the film traveling path R for forwarding the laterally stretched film to the undertaking unit side of a following process, and a clip returning guide part 11 for returning a tenter clip from the outlet side guide part 10 to the inlet side guide part 8. The inlet side of the film traveling path R is disposed at the left end part, and the outlet side thereof is disposed at the right end part respectively. |
