<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a work clamping device of a plate working unit, whose upper clamp lever retreats into a lower position than a work conveyor line in time of unclamping, and besides, it is compact in size and low-unit cost of production. SOLUTION: This work clamping device 19 is equipped with a clamp base 25 provided with a lower claw member 29, an upper clamp lever 39, a clamp cylinder 33, and an upper clamp lever retreating mechanism situating a top face of the upper clamp lever 39 at a lower position than a work conveyor line in time of unclamping, and in this constitution, this retreating mechanism consists of a link 37 connected to a turning shaft 35 whose one end is installed in a turning shaft 41 of the upper clamp lever 39 and the other end in the clamp base 25 respectively, a cam block 47 installed in a piston rod 45 of a clamp cylinder 33 being contacted and engaged with the link 37 and rotating the link 37, and a tensile spring 55 tensely installed in space between this cam block 47 and a rear arm part 42 of the upper clamp lever 39, respectively.</p> |
