PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a border of adjacent ink layers to be inconspicuous in an ink ribbon having ink layers of different colors repeatedly provided in a predetermined period in a lengthwise direction on a ribbon base. SOLUTION: The ink ribbon 21 comprises ink layers 25, 27, 29 of different colors provided repeatedly in a predetermined period in a lengthwise direction on a ribbon base 23, and density gradient parts 31 provided at ends of the layers in the lengthwise direction of the ribbon to gradually ink thicknesses toward a terminating end. Or, the ribbon 21 may be constituted by superposing an end of the layer in the lengthwise direction of the ribbon and an end of the other adjacent ink layer. Further, the ribbon 21 may comprise density gradient parts provided at both ends of the layers in the lengthwise direction of the ribbon to gradually reduce ink thicknesses toward a terminating end in such manner that the ends of the adjacent layers and the gradient parts are superposed. |
