PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an amorphous refractory having excellent applicability, forming a dense application product having a high strength and useful for cast application. SOLUTION: This amorphous refractory is obtained by adding alumina cement and a carboxyl group-containing polyether dispersant to 100 pts.wt. of a refractory aggregate containing 1-20 wt.% of alumina particles having a particle diameter of <=10 μm and/or Al2 O3 .MgO spinel particles having a particle diameter of <=10 μm. The carboxyl group-containing polyether dispersant is preferably added in an amount of 0.03-0.5 pt.wt. (converted into solid content) based on 100 pts.wt. of the refractory aggregate. |
