PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve absorption efficiency, to make the cost of chemicals used for a liquid absorbent low and to decrease the load of a waste water discharging section in the treatment of the discharged liq. absorbent. SOLUTION: The method is for denitrifying by controlling the concentration of hydrogen peroxide in the liq. absorbent to 0.5-10.0 wt.% and the pH of the liq. absorbent to 7.5-11.5. Or the denitrification is performed by arranging absorption parts in 2 stages in series, feeding a part of the liq. absorbent in the 2nd stage as the liq. absorbent for the 1st stage and controlling the concentration of hydrogen peroxide in the liq. absorbent of the 1st stage to 10-100 mg/L, the concentration of hydrogen peroxide in the liq. absorbent in the 2nd stage 0.5-10.0 wt.% and the pH of the liq. absorbent to 7.5-11.5.
