摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rapidly cool a sheet by forming a pair of cooling belts obtained by laying endless belts across a pair of rolls, and disposing the belts at an output side of a calender and opposed surfaces of the belts brought into contact with both side surfaces of the sheet, thereby shortening a line length. SOLUTION: A pair of cooling belts 20, 21 made of endless belts 18, 19 obtained by bridging them between pairs of rolls 14, 15 and 16, 17 are moved at a speed substantially equal to a removing speed of a sheet 10 from a calender toward a downstream side of a sheet contact part 24 of an opposed surface. The sheet 10 formed by a calender is introduced between sheet contact parts 24 of a pair of upper and lower cooling belts 20 and 21. And, heat is derived from the sheet 10 at both sides by the belts 18, 19 while feeding the sheet 10 to a downstream side by movements of the belts 18, 19. The parts 24 of the belts 20, 21 are cooled by injecting refrigerants from refrigerant injection nozzles 23. Thus, high cooling ability can be obtained with a small size. A line length of a facility can be shortened. And, the sheet 10 can be rapidly cooled.
