PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To satisfy various kinds of request characteristics such as a gut repulsive elasticity, a ball hitting feeling, a durability and vibration absorbing property, etc., by mounting a tubular string protecting material on a string in the area or the periphery of a sweet area within guts extended in a face part. SOLUTION: A tennis racket 1 consists of a grip part 2, a shaft part 3 and the face part 4 and the guts 5 are extended in the face part 4. Then, the string protecting material 7 is mounted on the string 6 constituting the sweet area S of the guts 5 and the longitudinal guts in its periphery. The quality of the string protecting material 7 is favorable to be a heat-shrinkable synthetic resin, the string 6 is put-through the heat-shrinkable synthetic resin tube at the time of extending the guts and it is heated and contracted so that it is tightly fixed to the prescribed place of the string 6 so as to be fixed. Thus, the durability and the vibration absorbing property of the gut are improved. |
