<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recorder in which the recording is optimized automatically after replacing a recording head. SOLUTION: Replacement of a head is detected by imparting a serial number to a recording head (step S308). Since head characteristic information (color information, shading information, or the like) is stored when a head is replaced (step S310), recording can be optimized automatically after replacing the recording head without requiring any user operation. Since the recovery operation of heat is executed automatically when the head is replaced, the optimization of recording can be facilitated after replacing the recording head without requiring any user operation.</p> |
