<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To concentrate NOx and to decrease the cost by stopping introduction of an ozone-injected waste gas to a high silica adsorbent packed layer in which the adsorptivity is decreased due to adsorption of NO2 and HNO3 , then heating to desorb NO2 , subjecting the obtd. gas with high concn. NO2 to reduction denitrification, and decomposing and removing the NO2 gas thus produced. SOLUTION: Ozone 5 is injected from an ozone generator 4 to a waste gas 1 in a mixer 3 and the mixture gas is introduced to an adsorbent packed layer in an adsorption reaction zone 7 of an adsorption reaction device 10. The ozone and NOx, essentially comprising NO in the introduced waste gas 1 is oxidized by the high concn. ozone to be converted into NO2 and HNO3 , which are adsorbed to a high silica adsorbent. A part of the treated gas 11 is heated as a desorbing gas 12 to desorb the adsorbed NO2 in a heating desorption zone 9. Thus, the adsorbent is regenerated while the gas 14 containing high concn. NO2 is discharged. The denitrification catalyst at specified temp. is reduced and denitrified in a denitrification device 15 with hydrogen from the ozone generator.</p> |
