The bearing cuff (10) has an axial bore for reception of the rotor shaft and is held within a retaining cage (12) providing radial and axial retaining components. The retaining cage has a cylindrical outer contour and a diameter corresponding to the inner diameter of the bearing seat provided by an end bearing plate, a pole housing, a drive housing or drive housing cover. The retaining cage can be provided by a circular retaining ring having a number of peripherally spaced retaining struts (14) with retaining noses (15) at their free ends bent radially inwards. |
