摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new sintering method for a light-transmitting ceramic, short in sintering time and realizable using inexpensive and simple equipment. SOLUTION: In producing a piezoelectric ceramic PLZT using respective oxides of Pb, La, Zr and Ti as starting stocks, the stocks are sintered in an atmosphere of reduced pressure of <1 atm at 1,000-1,150 deg.C until the resulting ceramic bulk form runs to a pore-closed state; subsequently, the bulk form is sintered in a pressurized oxygen atmosphere of >=1 atm at 1,200-1,250 deg.C until its density comes to >=99.5% of the theoretical density.
