The spring device (5) extending between the two points (a, b) at either end of the length distance being measured is made to extend along the outside of the piston-cylinder arrangement (4), over its entire length. The load cell (2a) in the electronic measuring unit (2) is fixed in relation to one of the points, and the spring device is fixed in relation to the other point. Signals supplied to the measuring unit from the load cell enable the unit to register a load-dependent distance between the two points. An output signal from the measuring unit is transformable via error-compensating circuits to give the length measurement. |
