<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify manufacturing processes, to reduce manufacturing costs, and to stabilize quality. SOLUTION: To mold a head made from a desired metal base by a powder metal injection molding means, the die surface 11a of a cavity 11 in a molding die 10 is initially coated with a cover forming material 21 forming a cover layer on the surface of the head, and the cavity 11 in the molding die 10 is filled with a head-molding material 22 made of powders of the metal base forming the head, to injection mold a head green body 20. The head green body 20 is heat treated for sintering while kept coated with the cover forming material 21 on its surface.</p> |
