<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the manufacturing cost of a resinous intake manifold by limiting an increase in the number of its components and its assembling processes. SOLUTION: An intake manifold comprises intake manifold components 11 and 21. The component 11 is formed in its storage part 16 with partition walls 17 and 18 that extend from either internal face to the middle. Both these walls 17 and 18 define a surge tank part 13 and a resonator part 14 and also form a communicating pipe part 15 therebetween by their opposed faces. The component 21 is also formed in its storage part 26 with a pair of partition walls that correspond to these walls 17 and 18. In welding these components 11 and 21 together under vibration, the walls 17 and 18 are also welded to their corresponding walls to define a surge tank, a resonator and a communicating pipe simultaneously.</p> |
