PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To continuously detect a cardiac output during exercise or in a daily life. SOLUTION: When a body motion elimination unit 11 eliminates a body motion constituent MHt from a pulse waveform MH so as to generate a body motion eliminated pulse waveform MH', on the basis of the body motion eliminated pulse waveform MH', a heart rate HR and an ejection duration ED are calculated. When a single output computing unit 14 finds a single output SV on the basis of the body motion eliminated pulse wave waveform MH' during the ejection duration ED, a cardiac output computing unit 15 multiplies the single output SV and the heart rate HR together so as to find a cardiac output CO. Subsequently, an estimation unit 16 compares the cardiac output CO with a threshold value so as to generate an estimation index X, and then, the display unit 17 displays the estimation index X. |
