A first data packet is received by a network-operated device via a first coupling between the device and an activated node used to collect data, then this first coupling is disconnected and a second coupling is formed between the device and at least one target node responding to the data transfer request sent out by the device, and then a second packet is sent via the second coupling in response to the data transfer request. Independent claims are also included for (a) a second data collection method similar to the one above, where the data packet includes a node address, (b) a method for distributing data from a network-operated in/out device (NEIOD), (c) a method for collecting and distributing dat from a NEIOD, (d) a method for sending and receiving dynamic data from a network node using a NEIOD, (d) a method for creating a dynamic display of data collected from nodes in a network, and (e) the NEIOD device. |
