PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent defective cleaning at an image forming device using an intermediate transfer body and also simultaneously carrying out cleaning with primary transfer. SOLUTION: As for the image forming device executing the cleaning of the intermediate transfer body 7 by simultaneously recovering toner remaining after secondary transfer on the intermediate transfer body 7 electrified by an ICL roller 13 with the primary transfer by the side of a photoreceptor drum 1: an ICL bias power source 14 is controlled by a controller 15 so that ICL bias having a polarity reverse to the toner remaining after the secondary transfer is applied to the ICL roller 13 before the ICL roller 13 abuts on the intermediate transfer body 7 in applying the ICL bias from the ICL bias power source 14 to the ICL roller 13 to electrify the toner remaining from the secondary transfer on the intermediate transfer body 7, so that the quantity of the toner stuck to the surface of the ICL roller 13 is reduced and excellent cleaning is carried out. |
