PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a formation of a blue-flamed combustion by accomplishing lowering of NOx and an increase in turndown ratio with a self-re-circulation combustion system. SOLUTION: This combustion apparatus is provided with a burner port plate 25 which has a plurality of tiny holes 26a-26d bored therein with a shape of cross section expanding toward a combustion chamber 28 and a guide means 29 to let a premixed gas 33 flow along the surface of the burner port plate 25 on the side of the combustion chamber 28. As a result, air blown out of the tiny holes 26a-26d generates self-re-circulation effectively and also inhibits an excessive drop in the combustion load during the low combustion quantity period. Moreover, a premixed gas flowing along the surface of the burner port plate 25 instantaneously diffuses together with the air right above the tiny holes 26a-26d.
