The procedure for making a wall with two vertical and parallel leaves of concrete with a gap between them consists of casting the concrete between layers of shuttering (1, 2) and an inner separator (3) which is removed once the concrete has set. The two leaves are cast simultaneously or virtually simultaneously, with the shuttering layers hale in position by threaded rods (6, 8), external nuts (7, 9), inner spacers (4, 5) and seals (11, 15) between the shuttering layers and the separator. The separator, which can be made, for example, from plastics or a cellular cardboard material, is removed from between the leaves once the concrete has set, leaving a completely free space between them. |
