REFLECTION-TYPE LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY ELEMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reflection type liquid crystal display element from which bright white display and high contrast are obtained, and by which blur of a picture is suppressed by adding anisotropy to scattering characteristics of a scatter film. SOLUTION: A forward scatter film layer 10 is arranged with a polarized light film 11 and a double refraction film 12 on the upper side of a transparent substrate 14 of this element. At least one of the scatter films 10a, 10b composing this scatter film layer 10 is defined as the forward scatter film which more strongly scatters the light transmitted from the 2nd incident angle area not including the normal line direction of the film than the light transmitted from the 1st incident angle area including the normal line direction of the film.
