<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress failure such as fusion or image flowing while making initial rising excellent and to stably form a high-quality image by superimposing DC-component bias and specified vibration bias and changing a second peak value of the vibration bias in the non-printing area of an image carrier. SOLUTION: Developing bias is obtained by superimposing the DC-component bias and the vibration bias whose first peak value V1 of the application time T1 of a potential, which exerts force proceeding toward the image carrier 1 from a developer carrier 10, and second peak value V2 of the application time T2 of the potential, which exerts the force proceeding toward the carrier 10 from the carrier 1, alternately appear with respect to developer in a developing area. Then, the second peak value V2 of the vibration bias is changed in the non-printing area. Thus, since the failure such as fusion or image flowing is suppressed while making the initial rising excellent and fogging in the non- printing area is controlled, the high-quality image can be stably formed.</p> |
