PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface light emitting device having a high luminance and free from luminance unevenness. SOLUTION: A linear light source 2 is arranged on at least one side surface of a transparent light guide plate 1, a light diffusion transmitting part 3 is provided on the reverse side of the light guide plate 1, a reverse side reflecting plate 4 is arranged on the reverse side of the light diffusion transmitting part 3, and a strip light reflecting layer 5 and a light absorptive layer 6 are successively laminated from the light guide plate 1 side near at least the side surface having the linear light source 2 arranged thereon of the peripheral part between the light guide plate 1 and a diffusion plate 7. |
